Your School Nurse is there to help you look after your health. Every school has a School Nurse who gives advice about healthy living and supports you in your choices. They are friendly, easy to talk to and won’t judge you.  Their aim is help you improve your health and wellbeing and reach your full potential. You can contact your School Nurse about all your health needs, including relationships advice, contraception and mental wellbeing.

Year 7: You’ll be asked to complete a confidential, online questionnaire that covers a range of topics, including healthy eating, body image, emotional wellbeing, healthy relationships, bullying and road safety.  Your School Nurse will assess which topics you and your classmates are most concerned about and do some group work around those areas, providing appropriate advice and information.

Year 11: You’ll be given an information pack with further advice and information about the some of the topics covered when you were in Year 7, plus others such as sexual health, alcohol and substance misuse, and registering with a GP and dentist.
